About the Event
For Smiles From Heaven and the families we serve, Christmas holds a uniquely special place in our hearts. For children bravely battling cancer, each holiday is a cherished gift, as tomorrow is never guaranteed. To bring joy and hope during this magical season, Smiles From Heaven organizes a heartwarming local Christmas party and partners with H-E-B for an incredible shopping spree that gives 15 children the chance to create unforgettable memories. Before the pandemic, we also brought the spirit of Christmas directly to the Children’s Hospital, hosting festive celebrations that filled the halls with laughter and cheer. Through these efforts, we aim to uplift spirits, create lasting smiles, and remind these families that they are not alone during the most wonderful time of the year.
Why we do it.
Having personally faced the battle with pediatric cancer, we deeply understand the challenges these families endure, especially during the holidays. Both of Bella’s Christmases were spent in the hospital, which has driven our mission to bring joy and comfort to others facing similar struggles. By hosting a local Christmas party and partnering with H-E-B for a magical shopping spree, we aim to uplift their spirits and provide a brief escape from the daily hardships of childhood cancer. These moments of joy remind families that they are not alone and bring hope during the Holidays.
